Notes:

Terry L. Farber, 61, of Columbia City, died at 5:54 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his home. He had been in failing health.

He was born August 25, 1950 at the Luckey Hospital in Wolf Lake, a son of Lawrence E. and Ruby L. (Hearld) Farber. A member of the Class of 1968 from Columbia City High School, he graduated from IPFW with a degree in Engineering.

On June 15, 1967 he was united in marriage to Marold A. Jackson. They have always made their home in the Columbia City area, moving to their present home in 1996.

He began his career at Columbia Die Mold as a mold maker then at Precision Plastics as a tool shop manager, retiring in August 2012 as Vice President of Engineering.

He attended Eberhard Lutheran Church and was a member of the Columbia City Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks #1417 and Sons of the American Legion Post #98.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Marold; and two children, Erika (Dustin) Pickett of Westfield and Jeffrey (Stacie) Farber of Columbia City; four grandchildren, Delaney & Ellis Pickett and Sydni & Jacob Farber; two sisters, Rosalie Kay Kleespie of Columbia City and Kerry Barr of Hermiston OR; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Farber of Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Farber.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Eberhard Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

An Elk twilight service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Preferred memorials are to the donor's favorite charity.
