Notes:

Jeanette Ann Roe died peacefully in Crawfordville, Florida, on January 24, 2020. She was born on January 26, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to her parents, Gerald and Velma Keener.

Jeanette attended Columbia City Joint High School and graduated with the Class of 1965. She married Larry Roe on May 15, 1965.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry; her three children: Randal Roe (Andrea) of Crawfordville, Bethanie Leatherman (Robert) of Crawfordville, and Kathleen Funk (Travis) of Syracuse, Indiana; two brothers: Gerald Keener Jr. (Patricia) of Indianapolis and Thomas Keener (Vanessa) of Edinburgh, Indiana; her stepmother, Lois Keener of Columbia City, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Isaac Roe, Megan Leatherman, Steven Roe, Ben Leatherman, Jon Leatherman, Ian Funk, and Emma Funk; and her beloved aunt, Delores Warren.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Velma Keener.

Besides the day of her wedding, another key date in Jeanette’s life was September 20, 1958, when she was baptized in symbol of her dedication to Jehovah God. Over the decades, she developed a close relationship with, and strong faith in, her heavenly Father. One primary way she showed this faith was by sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom with others. She was always kind, loving, and generous, a loyal servant of Jehovah, and an amazing caretaker of her family and friends.

She had an intense love of music, enjoying singing and playing piano. She was also an excellent cook and baker, an avid reader, and a great confidant and teacher to young people, especially her grandchildren.

We can’t wait to see Jeanette again when she is completely restored to the wonderful woman she truly was! — Job 33:25.

Jeanette was a member of the Crawfordville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her memorial service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1298 Shadeville Road, Crawfordville.

The family welcomes that instead of flowers, a donation be sent to Hospice of Tallahassee, in Jeannette's honor. Covenant Care Hospice, 1921 Capital Cir. N.E., Tallahassee, Florida 32308.

The care and direction for this family is under Forbes Funeral and Cremation Services, 2758 Coastal Hwy., Crawfordville, Florida 32327. (850) 926-4407
