After a lengthy 7-year battle with cancer, Tammy Lynn Pensinger passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, in Bristol, Va. at the age of 49. Tammy was born on December 5, 1968, in Wabash, Ind., to Forest Price and Donna Pearson.

She leaves behind her husband and high school sweetheart of 34 years, Keith D. Pensinger of the home; and her only son, Logan M. Pensinger of Bristol, Va. Shortly after they were married in February of 1989, they moved to Bristol, Va., where they raised their son.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Hall, and step-father, Daniel Hall of Columbia City, Ind.; her brother, Richard Pearson of Wabash, Ind.; her sister, Diane Pliett of Fort Wayne, Ind.; her brother, Bryan Hall of Niles, Mich.; four step-siblings, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Tammy graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in Columbia City, Indiana in 1987 and began working for Peoples Federal Bank before moving to Virginia. She then worked at Charter Federal Savings Bank in Bristol, VA for 7 years before moving to Nationwide Insurance, Brian Lewis Insurance Agency Bristol, Va. as a Property and Casualty agent for 20 years before retiring in February 2016.

Per her wishes she lived everyday to the fullest and wishes to be cremated with no funeral services. The family will receive family and friends at the home from Friday evening, April 13, 2018 through Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Special thanks to Therese and Dave Harvey, Kristi Phillips, Lasha Short, Crystal Smith, Bristol VA Sheriff's Office, Dr. Sue Prill/Dr. Morgan/Dr. Fincher and the Bristol Regional Medical Cancer Center staff/chemo nurses/radiation nurses for going above and beyond.
