Notes:

Annette M. Lamle, 61, of Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, November 29, 2022 in New Iberia, Louisiana. Born October 9, 1961 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Carl and Rosina (Hinen) Harber.

She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1980 and attended IPFW. On April 16, 1988, she married Tim Lamle. Annette had been a dental assistant, a homemaker, and retired from Ag Plus Raber Division. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arcola where she had been a Religious Educator teaching Sunday School, a Cantor, and a third generation Organist at the church.

Annette was a loving wife and mother, and supported her sons through all their years in the Whitley County 4-H and the FFA. She was musically gifted and was blessed to have her grandmother, Luella R. Hinen, and her mother as a teacher and mentor playing the organ. For over 30 years, Annette sang the National Anthem at the Arcola Truck & Tractor Pull. Annette never met a stranger.

She was very outgoing, her smile could light up any room and her hugs and kiss on the cheek will be missed. Annette was always willing to lend a hand to help others, volunteered when needed, and also volunteered at the Arcola thrift store. Annette was a very giving lady and even in death, she was able to help others by being an organ donor.

Annette is survived by her husband, Tim Lamle; sons, Cody (Krista) Lamle and Jared (Mikaela Fringer) Lamle; father, Carl Harber; brothers, Keith Harber and Neil (Celeste) Harber; several nieces nephews and a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death mother, Rosina Harber.

Visitation will be 1:30 to 7:30 pm Thursday, December 8, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with a Rosary prayer at 1 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Arcola, 12305 Arcola Rd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her mother.

Memorial donations may be given in Annette's memory to her family to go towards a scholarship or help out the Whitley County 4-H or FFA.

NOTE: In July 2023 her husband Tim established the Annette Lamle Endowment fund to create an annual award in her name. Remembering how she enthusiastically supported sons, Cody and Jared, through the many years of 4-H and FFA, the award will go to a deserving FFA or 4-H member each year.

The ideal recipient will be active in the community, a good student, illustrate a willingness to volunteer and have an interest in pursuing study in Ag or Trades. Grateful for the outpouring of support, the family has directed memorial gifts made at the time of Annette’s passing last November to be added to the Fund.
