Notes:	United States, Officer Down Memorials, 1791-2009, Roseville, Minnesota Police Department: On May 16, 1982 Officer Russell was shot and killed following a foot vehicle chase. The suspect vehicle crashed and as Officer Russell exited his cruiser the man opened fire on him, striking him in between the panels of his vest. He was able to return fire and wound the suspect who was later apprehended (suspect later died in prison). Officer Russell had been with the agency for one year and was survived by his wife and 2-year-old daughter.
