Notes:	Post & Mail August 22, 1998, Pg. 2: Delbert F. Paulus, 44, a resident of Columbia City, died at 8:05 a.m. Friday at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born January 7, 1954 in Fort Wayne, a son of Lawrence B. and Mary Jane Herron Paulus, Sr. His formative years were spent in Washingon Township, Whitley County. He attended Washington Center Grade School and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1972. Mr. Paulus completed his education in The Louisiana Tech University. After completing his education, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, retiring on October 1, 1994 as a Tech Sergeant. After his retirement from the military, he was employed as a computer technician for the Caddo Parrish Schools in Louisiana. On November 10, 1973 he was united in marriage to Linda D Speece. From 1982 to 1994 they resided at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. In October 1997 they moved to Columbia City. He was employed as a computer technician for Whitley County Consolidated Schools. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Surviving relatives include his wife, Linda; a son, EM3 Jeffery Martin Paulus, Naval Nuclear Power Training Command NTC, Orlando, Florida; his mother, Mary Paulus, Columbia City; two brothers, Lawrence Paulus, Jr., Columbia City and Garrie Paulus, Fort Wayne, and a sister, Mrs. Ken (Rose E.) Lehman, Fort Wayne. His father preceded him in death. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
