Notes:	Joy Eileen Richey, 71, of Columbia City, IN, went to be with the Lord January 23, 2024, at 2:05am. Joy read voraciously and loved deeply and widely. Joy was valedictorian of her H.S. (Columbia City 71). She possessed many talents but was never heard to boast. She was more than kind to animals. She will be greatly missed by many: her husband Mike Gayle, her daughter Sarah Juan Richey Gayle, her brother Donald Richey DVM and wife Susan, her sister Cheryl Noyer and late husband Ron, her cousins Diann Deutsch, Brian Crowl and many more..., nieces and nephews (Donielle, Jason, Heather, Michelle, Kevin, Ryan, Melinda and Anna). The entire extended Gayle family that she adopted as her own. She will be missed by her church family at Coesse Community Church. Waiting for her in heaven are her parents Earl and Mildred, her older brother Paul and her younger brother Dan. A Celebration of Life is being planned for the Spring with announcements to appear on Facebook. Published by Fort Wayne Newspapers on Feb. 12, 2024.
