Notes:	Carolyn L. Stech, age 64, of Whitley County, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at her home. She worked at Lincoln Life for 20 years and then for Benicomp Insurance. She was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and a devoted grandma. Carolyn was born Jan. 5, 1951, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of John A. and Dorothy M. (Gutmann) Baker. On May 2, 1970 she married her beloved husband of 45 years, Barry Stech, in Columbia City. He survives in Whitley County. Also surviving are two daughters Angela (Brian) Holley of Huntington and Amanda (Dan) Hullinger of Fort Wayne, five grandchildren Nicole (Rick Schnurr) Hullinger, Jenna Holley, Jeffrey Holley, Sam Hullinger and Kyle Hullinger, two great-grandchildren Rebecka and Alex Schnurr, a brother Tom (Gayla) Baker of Columbia City and a sister-in-law Jana Baker of Columbia City. She was preceded in death by a brother John Baker. Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, and Monday, Jan. 4 from 10-11 am prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Waynedale.
