Notes:	Donald (Don) Lewis Lipke, age 75 of Richmond, died in Houston on December 18 of heart failure. He was born April 8, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank Lipke and Alice Schuldt Lipke Fritz. He attended schools in Detroit, Michigan, Pierceton and Columbia City, Indiana. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from University of Michigan. He designed electrical projects for military and oil field and received several patents. He was the chief engineer at Baylor in Sugar Land. He was a volunteer for the following organizations: Kairos prison ministry working at Carol Vance and Jester prisons; Pamela Haas Memorial Scholarship Fund; Sealy Lions Dance Club; and Past Commander of Houston Power Squadron. Survivors include his daughter Barbara and husband Chad Scholtisek and grandsons Remy & Luke, niece Kim Lipke Assaad and husband Mark, step sister Ann, long-time companion Catherine Kellner, cousins and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Beverly , and brothers Scott and Ted Lipke. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 21 at 2:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, 502 South Fifth Street, Richmond, TX. 77469 In lieu of flowers, make donation to Kairos or your favorite charity.
