Sandra Joan Rarick, age 70, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 5:10 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor, Inc., Columbia City. Born on January 21, 1941 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of George A. and Opal (Snyder) Fahl.

She was a lifetime Whitley County resident and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1958. She worked at Dana Weatherhead, Columbia City as a production worker for 17 years. On March 12, 1991 she married Richard Herman Rarick in Columbia City.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Herman Rarick of Columbia City; 4 children, Teressa (Rick) Kiser of North Webster, Tonyia (Andy) Wolfe of Pierceton, Jim (Vicky) Fox of Lafayette and Kim Wells of Columbia City; 2 step children, Brian Rarick, Kendallville and Michelle Rarick, Huntington; 3 sisters, Bonnie Merriman of Fort Wayne, Shirley Fahl of Jacksonville, AL and Norma Sontendahl of Austin, TX; 1 brother, Russell (Evelyn) Fahl of Warsaw; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tom, Richard, Clarence "Fritz", Robert and infant Fahl brother, sisters, Charlotte McClain, Mary Bourne and infant Fahl sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Curtiss Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery. Memorial bequest may be given in memory of Mrs. Rarick to the Final Expense Account payable to DeMoney-Grimes.
