Notes:	Charlene's 2016 obituary: Charlene "Memaw" Balyeat, 81, of Noble County, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. She was born April 17, 1935 in Pound, VA to Charlie and Iva (Back) Hampton. She was a sewing room manager at Blue Bell then retired from Dana Corporation in May of 1997. She spent her retirement enjoying many flowers, gardening, but most of all her family. She is survived by her husband, Cliff "Papaw" Balyeat; daughter, Vickie (Jeff) Potts; step-daughters, Lisa Mahieu and Lana (Tom) Atkins; sisters, Emily (George) Mullins and Eloise Jesse of Pound, VA; special nephew, Ed (Linda) Holcomb of Pound, VA; Grandkids, little Jeff, Audi, Charlie, Jennifer, Jonathon, Ryan, Heather, Brandon, Rachel, Abby & Heath; Great-grandchildren, Maizey, Greyson, Cohen, Jackson, Hali, Kenzie & expected to arrive in February 2017, Baby Blombach; and nieces, Toddy, Robin & Kitty of Pound, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-son, Dan Balyeat and grandson, Kyle. Per Charlene's request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, family requests you make a donation in Charlene's name to Visiting Nurse or Indiana Donor Network. A special thank you to Dr. Lakshmi Aggarwal, Amy Gillespie and the Staff. Also, special thank you to Carol Carlson. Arrangements are by Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
