ROBERT L. "TONY" KIESLING, 71, a resident of rural Columbia City, died Friday morning, May 11, 2007 at his home.

He was born October 4, 1935 in California, Missouri a son of Albert and Viola (Stock) Kiesling. As a young boy, his family moved to Wisconsin and later Columbia City. He graduated from Columbia City High School.

On June 1, 1957 he was united in marriage to Lecinda M. Miller. They made their home first home in Tampa, Florida, residing throughout the United States while Tony served in the United States Air Force. Following his 20 year retirement from the U.S. Air Force on October 31, 1974, they made their home in Fort Wayne. He retired from Magnavox with 10 years of service. In 1991 they moved to their home north of Columbia City.

He attended Wolf Lake Baptist Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Lecinda; two daughters, Tracey Carteaux of Fort Wayne and Amanda Kiesling of Columbia City; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Wilburn of Columbia City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lee Kiesling.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Wolf Lake Baptist Church on 1133 South Main Street with Rev. Daniel Carlson, church pastor, officiating. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.

The burial will be in Wolf Lake Cemetery. A detail from the United States Air Force will present military honors.
