Carol A. Magley Thomas, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Born March 1933, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of George W. and Elsie M. (Auth) Heidenreich.

Graduate of Columbia City High School, Class of 1951. Carol married Dean Magley on February 14, 1953. He predeceased her on January 9, 1991. She then married Lee L. Thomas on December 26, 1992.

Carol worked for the family business, Rockford Mobile Homes and for Peterson-Kruse, Inc. before retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Survived by her husband, Lee; children, Anne (Joe) Mellen, and Janis (John) Hilgers; step-children, Daren (Debbie) Thomas and Jill Thomas; grandchildren, Michael (Hana) Ciembronowicz, April (Chris) Jones, Kelly (Chris) Glave, and Michael John (Natalie) Hilgers; step-grandchildren, Hannah Tooley and Mariah Thomas; and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; son, Ronald Magley; and two brothers, Jerry and Eugene Heidenreich.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
