Parents Archie Emmett & Wilma A. (Clay) Zumbrun. Siblings: Mardelle, Eldon, Donald, Deane, Nancy & Hugh Zumbrun. Worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana for a long time. Husband's obituary:

Nicholas F. Palermo, 88, of Fort Wayne died April 16, 2018 at Parkview Memorial Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne, IN. Nicholas was born March 14, 1930 in Fort Wayne to the late Alessandro and Venera Palermo.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and proudly served our country in the U S Navy during the Korean War. He was a Fort Wayne home builder with his father and brother Frank. Nick became a Fort Wayne Police Officer for 27 years, He continued his career with the City of Fort Wayne, as Deputy Chief of Police, Chief of Communications and the Chairman of the Board of Safety. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope.

Nick’s family was his love, spending time together everyday, in person or by phone, so proud of his children’s accomplishments.

Nick is survived by his wife of 60 years Juanita; children Daniel (Vickie) Palermo, Alex Palermo, Jeff Palermo, Gina (Craig) Osborn, Diane (Brian) Palermo-Blake all of Fort Wayne, IN and Judith (Derek) Sceats of Bellevue, WA; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Sister, Phyllis (Larry) Gurtner of Auburn, IN; . Nick was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Palermo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Hope, 7215 St Joe Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a rosary at 4:30 pm. Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Good Hope Renovation Fund.
