Cecil H. Paulus, 86, of Leesburg, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at his home. He was born April 25, 1930 in Pierceton, to Cecil H. and Rachel Ann (Friend) Paulus.

He grew up in Columbia City and graduated in 1948 from Columbia City High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and lived most of his life in the North Webster/Leesburg area. On Dec. 15, 1951, he married in North Webster to Doris J. Gaff who survives.

He was the owner/operator of Paulus Plastics and former owner/operator of Paulus Well Drilling in North Webster for 60 years.

He was a member of American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, V.F.W Post 985 in Goshen and attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Paulus, of Leesburg; daughter, Monna (Rick) Baum, of Warsaw; two sons, Chris (Anna) Paulus, of Leesburg, and Ken (Ellen) Paulus, of Leawood, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Paulus; sister, Betty Minnick; and brother, Eugene Paulus.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and County Road 500 N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 in the funeral home with Pastor Kent Butcher, of Vineyard Community Church, and Pastor Brad Cox, of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, officiating. Burial will take place in North Webster Cemetery with military graveside rites by North Webster American Legion.

Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Community Center, P.O. Box 379, North Webster, Ind. 46555 or Kosciusko Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, Ind. 46581. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
