Notes:	The Post & Mail October 23, 2006: Hugh M. Nelson, 77 Dec. 10, 1928 - Oct. 14, 2006 Hugh M. Nelson, 77, of Lexington Park, Md., died October 14, 2006, at his home. A native of Columbia City, he was the son of Ward and Letha (Hile) Nelson. Mr. Nelson retired from the US Navy after 22 years of service. He married Catherine Newhouse in 1947. She passed away in 2003. He is survived by a son, Steven Nelson, of Lincoln, Neb., and two daughters, Patricia Weaver of Valley Lee, Md., and Sarah Nelson of Lexington Park, Md. He is also survived by two sisters, Helene Giant of Columbia City and Hildanna Camp of Waterloo, Ind., and two brothers, Hurshell Nelson of Churubusco and Harley Nelson of Homassassa, Fla. He is survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Catherine, he was preceeded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. A memorial service was conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Leonard Town, Md., on Saturday. Memorials may be given in Mr. Nelson's name to the donor's choice. Hugh Nelson, 77, Lexington Park Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 Hugh Nelson, 77, of Lexington Park died Oct. 14, 2006, at his residence. Born Dec. 10, 1928, in Noble County, Ind., he was the son of the late Ward Leigh Nelson and Letha Hile Nelson. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1967. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lexington Park and a member of the Elks. He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Ann Nelson of Lexington Park and Patricia Leigh Weaver of Valley Lee; a son, Stephen Michael Nelson of Papillion, Neb.; two sisters, Helene Grant (Correction, should be Giant) of Columbia City, Ind., and Hilda Camp of Waterloo, Ind.; two brothers, Harley Nelson of Homosassa, Fla., and Hershell Nelson of Churubusco, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. All services will be private. Arrangements are being provided by Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown.
