Notes:	Keith E. "Pickle" Schinbeckler, age 75, of Columbia City, IN, died at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at his son's residence in Carmel, IN. He was born on August 22, 1927 in Columbia City, IN to Homer Albert and Vera Marie (Leonard) Schinbeckler. A lifelong resident of Tri-Lakes, he was a WW II veteran as a Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force from 1944-1947. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1952, the Classes of 1956 and 1961 with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Indiana University. He married his wife, JoAnne Witte at the Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN in June 1951. A retired teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools at James H. Smart School, Weiser Park Middle School and Northrop High School, he was also a member of Peabody Public Library Board of Directors, Indiana State Teachers Association and Jaguar Owners Club of North America. Survivors include 2 sons, H. David (Luanne) Schinbeckler of Mindemoya, Ontario, Canada and Thomas E. (Amy) Schinbeckler of Carmel, IN; a brother, Don (Marlowe) Schinbeckler of South Bend, IN; 2 sisters, Carole Schinbeckler of Columbia City, IN and Barbara (Herbert) Schnabel of Midlothian, VA; and 6 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, JoAnne and a sister, Maxine Schinbeckler. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. According to Mr. Schinbeckler's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Private burial will be on Monday, July 14, 2003 at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be given in Mr. Schinbeckler's memory to the Peabody Public Library. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Obituary in Post & Mail July 11, 2003, Pg 2 and July 12, 2003, Pg 2. Joanna passed away August 15, 1985.
