Notes:	Post and Mail, June 15, 2006: Miriam Mayer, formerly Miriam DeVries, Cox and Guiliano, died Friday, June 9, 2006, in Wisconsin. Born on Nov. 11, 1923, in Michigan. she was a daughter of Foster and Verna Riddick. She received a master's degree at St. Francis College in Fort Wayne and had taught third grade for 37 years at Thorncreek and Roanoke schools. Survivors include her husband, Valentine Mayer, who had played violin solos during the recess breaks for dance bands in the Milwaukee area, and a son, David (Patricia) DeVries of Sandwich, Ill. The funeral is today at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, Wis., with entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
