Frances A. Williams, 97, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, was born August 16, 1922, in Columbia City, Indiana, to James Harvey and Zelma (Hile) Palmer. She passed away March 10, 2020, at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Williams; and two sisters: D’Maris Grant and Dorathea Tricker.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Stephen) Lawrence of Evans Mill, New York and her son, Lee Robert (Linda) Williams of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and good friends.

Frances was a member of the CV United Methodist Church, CV Women’s Golf Association, and several bridge clubs. She had worked as a clerk for a teachers’ retirement fund.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Robert Lee Williams, 90, of Cherokee Village died May 21, 2002, at Eaglecrest Nursing Center in Ash Flat.

He was born Oct. 7, 1911, in Amity, Ind. He married Frances A. Palmer Oct. 7, 1941, in Sullivan, Ind. He retired as a master mechanic from Mitchel & Scott Machine Company in Indianapolis. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite and a member of Cherokee Village Men's Golf Association.

Survivors include his wife, Frances A. Williams; a son, Lee Robert Williams of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara K. Lawrence of DeRidder, La.; a sister, Pearl McKibben of West Unity, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Roy Williams.

The funeral was May 24 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
