Bonnell L. Tripcony, age 86, of Oaks Living Care Center, Columbia City, IN 46725 died at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the Oaks Living Care Center. He was born in Columbia City, IN on May 15, 1919 to John and Esta (Brown) Tripcony.

He has spent his entire lifetime in Columbia City, IN. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1938. He served in the United States Army. He married Dorothy E. Blaugh on July 23, 1950 by Reverend P.L. Mast at the Columbia City United Methodist Church.

He retired in September 1982 after 36 years of service with Dana Corportation, Fort Wayne, IN as a machine operator in the oiling department. He attended Columbia City United Methodist Church and is a member of the Columbia City American Legion Post #98.

He is survived by 5 sons, James L. (Darleen) Tripcony of Little Rock, AR; David (Sandy)Tripcony of Henderson, NV; Kevin Tripcony of Olean, NY; Michael Tripcony of Columbia City, IN; Rodney Tripcony of Columbia City, IN; 2 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy E. Tripcony, brothers, Robert R. Tripcony and John Tripcony, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday April 12, 2006 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Berneice Herr retired of Columbia City United Methodist Church and Reverend David Schiedel of Tri Lake Baptist Church officiating. Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Tripcony memory to Columbia City United Methodist Church or donor's choice.. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
