Notes:	Eric Dylan Hoffman, 19, of rural Columbia City, died Friday, November 28, 2014 in a single vehicle accident in which he was a passenger. He was born February 2, 1995, in Columbia City, Indiana the son of Kent L. and Cheryl J. (Chaplin) Hoffman. He grew up on the familyÂ's farm in Columbia Township and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 2013. Enthused about farming, he worked for the family farming operations and had recently purchased his own land which he proudly farmed. Loving all things farming, he raised and showed livestock at the 4H Fair where he was a ten year member. He enjoyed and participated in competitive 4 wheel motocross and in more recent years, liked Jeeping and high performance diesel pickup trucks. He also had a talent for photography which he liked to shoot nature scenes. Surviving include his parents, Kent and Cheryl Hoffman, two sisters, Lindsey (Kevin) Hierholzer of Amboy and Morgen Hoffman of Columbia City; a nephew, Wesley Hierholzer; his grandparents, Richard and Vonna Hoffman of Columbia City and Roscoe and Ann Goings of South Whitley. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Chapel, 2505 W Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the St PeterÂ's Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Road To Recovery, for injured motocross riders.
