Notes:	Lester W. Gaff, 55, of Rome City, died Monday, February 11, 2002 at DePaul Medical Center in Bridgeton, Mo. Born on May 23, 1946, in Sturgis, Mich., he was a son of Ernest W. Gaff and Emma Jane (Miller) Gaff. He went to school at Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1965. His marriage was to Cynthia Halferty Gaff on September 25, 1971 at Big Lake, she survives. A trucker with F.E. Trucking Company for 19 years, he served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1968 and was a member of Rome City American Legion Post 381. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Gaff; his parents, Ernest and Emma Gaff of Columbia City; two sons, Clayton (Denise) Gaff of Kendallville and Jeremy (Tammy) Gaff of Waterloo; four brothers, Harold E. Gaff of Fort Wayne and Everett A. Gaff, James A. Gaff and Ernest L. Gaff, all of Columbia City; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Kim Gaff in 1958. The funeral service is at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at Orr Funeral Home in Albion with Pastor Chris Mosley officiating. Military rites are provided by Rome City American Legion. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until time of service Friday.
