Notes:	Bryce B. Elkins III, 32, of Columbia City died Thursday November 19, 2009 at 2:20 p.m. at Parkview Main, Fort Wayne. He was born November 7, 1977 in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana a son of Bryce and Patty (Miller) Elkins, Jr. His formative years were spent in Thorncreek Twp, Whitley County. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 1996. An accomplished football player, he received a scholarship to Defiance College where he played offensive tackle. He later transferred to IPFW and also took classes at Ivy Tech, Fort Wayne On July 3, 2005, he was united in marriage to Amanda C. Muirhead. They made their home in the Columbia City area. He was employed at A-1 Construction as a sandblaster. He also coached Tiffany's AAU All- Star Basketball Team. Comprised of All-Star players from Northern Indiana, they made their base in the Goshen and Warsaw area. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish at the family property in northern Minnesota, play golf and ride four-wheelers. In addition to his parents and wife, he leaves behind his two small children, daughter Elaine age 2 and Bryce IV age 1; brother, Jason (Jenna) Elkins; grandparents, Nedra Miller and Bryce (Linda) Elkins, Sr.; 4 aunts and 4 uncles He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Miller The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Pastor Jack Hieraholzer officiating. The visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the funeral. Preferred memorials are to Laine and Brycer c/o Amanda Elkins.
