Notes:	Dennis M. Spurling, 43, of rural South Whitley, died at 9:29 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on September 9th in Kosciusko County. He was born July 26, 1968 in Goshen, Indiana a son of Larry M. and Deborah M. (Grabner) Spurling. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1987. He was employed at Rinker Boat Company for eight years, Liberty Coach for a few years and currently Whitley Manufacturing. He married Rebecca L. Stouder. They have made their home in Syracuse. Surviving relatives include his wife, Becky; three children, Austin, Adam and Amber, all at home; his parents, Larry and Debbie Spurling; two siblings, Jennifer (Rick) Shew and Kevin (Kimberly) Spurling; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Ruth Grabner, all of Columbia City. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Blue River Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials may be directed to the final expense account at Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
