Notes:	Tanya Sue Schonefeld Snyder, 49, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her home. She was born December 23, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her formative years were spent in Jefferson Township, Whitley County with her parents, Steven A. and Suzanne E. (Mallwitz) Schonefeld. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1985. She was employed at Diversitec from 1995 until 2002 and Price Williams from 2002 until 2007. Her church membership was Jefferson Chapel United Methodist Church where she played piano as a teenager. Surviving relatives include her father, Steven A. (Maryellen) Schonefeld of Fort Wayne; her mother, Suzanne E. (Carl) Wilt of Pierceton; a brother, Byron Schonefeld of Laud; a sister, Nola West of Garrett; four step brothers, Warren Disch of Fort Wayne, Michael Disch of Tennessee, Matthew Disch of Virginia and Rodney Wilt of Fort Wayne; a step sister, Brenda Johnston of Wheaton IL; several nieces and nephews; her canine companion, Bailey; and her best friend forever, Bill. In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Lee Fisher. The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Humane Society of Whitley County.
