Rhonda A. Knepple, age 57, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 6:46 pm on Monday March 6, 2023, at Majestic Care Jefferson Pointe, Fort Wayne. Born on January 18, 1966, in Dowagiac, MI, she was the daughter of Gerald and Arveta (Ferren) Ramsey.

Rhonda attended Columbia City High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. While there she was awarded the John Phillip Souza Award for her excellent clarinet playing. She went on to attain phlebotomy certification, and an associate degree in Human Services from Ivy Tech, then a bachelor degree in Human Services from IPFW. Rhonda worked as a manager for Passages, Inc. and most recently operated her own business selling jewelry, while donating some of the proceeds to the charity Destiny Rescue.

Rhonda was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City, where she was also part of the worship team and praise band. She loved singing, playing hand percussion instruments, being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and hosting Sunday dinners.

Survivors include her husband Brian Knepple of Columbia City; children Jessica (Joel White) Knepple of Columbia City and Michael (Alyssa) Knepple of South Whitley; grandchildren Dylan, Rory, Lucy, and Finn Knepple; mother Arveta Ramsey of Columbia City; siblings Debbie (Todd) Deutsch and David Ramsey, both of Columbia City.

She was preceded in death by her father Gerald “Jerry” Ramsey.

Friends may call on Monday March 13, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

Funeral services for Rhonda will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday March 14, 2023, at New Hope Wesleyan Church, 971 North 400 West, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior.

Memorial contributions in memory of Rhonda may be made to Destiny Rescue.
