Outgoing, personable, and caring were just a few of the words that Bradley E. Hartman's family could use to describe the great husband, father, grandfather and brother that he was.

Just in time for the 1962 World's Fair, the Space Needle observation tower in Seattle, Washington was finished. That same year John Glenn, Jr., became the first American to orbit Earth, the first Wal-Mart store was opened along with the first Motel 6. Marvel Comic's Spider-Man superhero made his first appearance, The Beatles single "Love Me Do", the TV series "The Beverly Hillbillies" were released and the first of the James Bond movies, "Dr. No" was an instant success in theaters. On July 23, 1962, Herbert D. and Sharon L. (Knisely) Hartman were happy to announce the birth of their son, Bardley E. Hartman in Columbia City, Indiana.

Growing up, Brad enjoyed playing outside and competing in sports. While attending Columbia City Joint High School, Brad decided to serve his country and joined the U.S. Marines during his Junior year. He went on to graduate with the Class of 1981 at CCJHS and was honorably discharged in August of 1985.

The following summer, Brad's insurance agent suggested to him that he should meet her sister and on June 8, 1986, Brad and Jenny Schnepp began dating and would be married on June 20, 1987.

Aside from proudly serving his country for five years, Brad worked for Essex Wire for 18 years, Newell Industrial from 2004-2008 and retired as a saw operator from Reelcraft in 2017 after his health declined.

Brad and Jenny would welcome three children into their hearts, Amber, Chelsey and Adam. As the children grew up, he enjoyed taking them camping, canoeing and fishing. Brad loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed his time hunting and planting trees on his property. Being a caring and loving person, Brad would do anything and everything for the love of his life Jenny. He was always there to help her out in many ways, even going to the store to get groceries and cooking meals for the family. These were also things Brad enjoyed doing.

Another love of his life was his grandchildren. They were a true reward of working hard and providing for his family. He loved spending time with them, taking them fishing and even camping in the backyard with them. He would do whatever it would take to bring a smile to their faces
