Notes:	Whitley County Historical Society The Bulletin March 2022: Robin L. Rodgers...in 1981 joined the US Air Force and served for 20 years, retiring prior to the, as yet unseen, events of September 11, 2001. While in service, Robin worked primarily as an Avionics Control Systems Craftsman on the F-15 Strike Eagle fighter aircraft. He also served as a flight line expediter and as a quality control technician. Robin was quickly and often recognized for both his technical knowledge and his leadership skills. Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards to include the Distinguished Graduate award from the Air Force NCO Leadership School and the Meritorious Service Medal. Robin excelled in academics as well, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2002 and a Master of Science degree in Management in 2003. Robin's expertise and ingenuity were perfectly highlighted during the 1988 William Tell fighter competition: an intense, international challenge for air superiority in which the skills of hand-selected pilots and maintenance crews are meticulously scrutinized and tested. Robin's contributions directly impacted the outcome, and his unit, the 49 TFW of Holloman AFB, NM, placed first in a dramatic, talent-driven, turn of events. Robin served in New Mexico, South Korea, Iceland and Florida. After retiring from active duty in the rank of MSgt, he continues to support the Department of Defense and the US Air Force through contractual support. To this day, the list of his accomplishments continues to grow, and his expertise is still sought after by high-ranking officers to include the General level. Robin is well known as one of the top cybersecurity engineers the Air Force has to offer. Robin's friends and family are extremely proud of his achievements.
