Danny Lee Bolinger, age 56, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Born December 11, 1954 in Huntington, IN he was the son of Bill D. and Marylyn J. (Geiger) Bolinger.

A lifetime Columbia City resident, he graduated with the Class of 1973 from Columbia City Joint High School. On May 21, 1977 he married Michelle Trimmer at First Church of God, Columbia City. For 28 years, he worked as a welder for Dana Corporation, Syracuse.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Michelle Bolinger of Columbia City; daughters, Brandi (Sergio) Saldivar of Fort Wayne and Amber (Russell) Simons of Churubusco; son, Jeremy (Heather) Bolinger of Churubusco; sisters and brother, Jan Smith of Huntington, Lori (Randy) DeBaillie of Pierceton, Toni (Benji) Fugate of Columbia City, Lois (Russ) Gagnon of North Manchester, Lonnie (Brenda) Bolinger of Syracuse and Stacy (Scott) Gagnon of Columbia City; one grandson, Jackson Bolinger of Churubusco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Debbie Bolinger and step-brother, Gary Bolinger.

Visitation is Friday, April 15, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service is Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Howard Compton of Troy Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.

Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Bolinger to the American Stroke Association, National Center, 7272 Grunville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
