Gayle Y. Kile, age 58, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 5:28 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. She was born on May 29, 1952 in Portland, the daughter of Ronald Jack and Ruth V. (Day) Pease.

She lived in Fort Wayne and then moved to Whitley County in 1969. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1971. On May 30, 1987 she married Larry W. Kile in Columbia City.

She worked for Dana Corporation, Columbia City, with 13 years of service and several health facilities as a CNA including Miller's Merry Manor and Bryon Health Center, Fort Wayne. She attended Columbia City Community of Hope Church and was a member of Troy Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her brothers, Dennis L. (Bonnie) and Rick A. (Vickie) Pease both of Columbia City; sisters, Cindy E. Craig and Linda J. (Craig) Kimmel both of Columbia City; Diana R. (Cliff) Crockett of Naples, FL; step-sons, Mike Kile of Fort Wayne and Joe (Tarra) Kile of Andrews; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry W. Kile and sister, Claudia L. Pease.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor John Gregory of Community of Hope Church officiating. Burial will follow at Troy Presbyterian Cemetery, Columbia City.

Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Kile's memory to Lutheran Hospital Cancer Center for Children - Floor 3, American Diabetes Association or Heartland Hospice.
