Notes:	Ronald Duane Myers, 44, a Cleveland Township resident, was pronounced dead on arrival, Saturday, afternoon April 12, 1997 at Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance after becoming ill while traveling with his wife to Huntington from their home in Whitley County. He was born at Murphy Medical Center in Warsaw on June 13, 1952, a son of Garland V. and Joan Wertstler Myers. His formative years were spent in Etna-Troy Township where he was educated in the Etna-Troy School and graduated from Columbia City High School in 1970. On July 22, 1989, he was united in marriage to Angela Loe. They made their home near North Manchester until recently moving to a home in Cleveland Township near South Whitley. He had been employed as a tester for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association for the past four years. Surviving relatives include his wife, Angela; his mother, Joan Myers; three brothers, Galen Myers, Glenn Myers and Lester Myers; and a sister, Rebecca Damron, all of Larwill. His father, Garland, died in 1989. The funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with the Revs. J. Phillip Blake and Thomas Beers officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tursday at the funeral home. Burial is at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Etna-Troy Township. Serving as casketbearers will be Tom Western, Nub Waugh, Randy Studebaker, Jay Pence, Don Boner, and Mike Long.
