Diana L. Hull, 62, a resident of rural Larwill died at 10:48 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She had been in failing health

She was born October 21, 1951 in Whitley County, Indiana a daughter of Anthony Hill and Betty (Sheckler) Hill. Her formative years were spent in the Etna-Troy Township, Whitley County. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1970.

On July 31, 1970, she was united in marriage to Arden E. Hull. They made their home in Virginia until her husband completed his military service. They then moved back to the Larwill area.

She was employed as a teacher's aid at Whitko Schools for 15 years.

She pursued many hobbies including basket weaving and quilting, and she completed the Master Gardener program. She taught basket weaving in the community and shared her knowledge of quilting with her granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband, Arden; her mother, Betty Hill, Larwill; a son, Matthew (Danielle) Hull, Columbia City; a daughter, Steffanie (Vern) Gross, Pierceton; grandchildren: Seth & Addie, Katelyn, Sarah, Ryan, Sierra, Brady, Caedon, Jordan, Eden, Regan, Luke, Josiah, Judah and Jotham; three sisters, Donna (John) Tucker, South Whitley, Sally (Tony) Gingery, Larwill, Shirley Hill, Elkhart and a brother Michael (Loie) Hill, Larwill.

She was preceded in death by her father.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City. The burial will be in the Troy Presbyterian Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.

Preferred memorials are to Warsaw Christian School.
