Notes:

Ramona Lynn (Gradeless) Wood lost her battle with cancer the 13th of January, 2015, at the age of 62. She was born in Moses Lake, Washington, on the 8th of September, 1952; though she grew up in Whitley County, Indiana.

She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1970. She devoted her life to her only child, her gardens, and her career. Lynn worked for Verizon, formerly GTE, for 25 years before retiring. Her work took her all over Indiana, though, she eventually settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1992, where she lived for 23 years.

Lynn loved gardening and working with plants, both inside of the home and out. She found stress relief and comfort digging her hands in the dirt. Lynn was a single mother, an award-winning manager and innovator with Verizon, an amazing artist through her work with crocheting, as well as a devoted daughter.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Russell Gradeless, Sr., step-father Robert Cooper, and brothers: Roger and Larry Cooper. Lynn is survived by her mother Dortha Mae Marsh, daughter Dana J Corbett, siblings: Jerry Cooper (Charlene), Carolyn Foster (Bill), Cindy Conner (Dale), Steve Gradeless (Jeannine), Chuck Cooper, and Robert Russell Gradeless, Jr. , and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lynn loved her friends and family immensely. She took in stray people and animals, everyone was her friend. She worked her artistry not just in plants and with crochet, but also with her beautiful piano playing. She enjoyed sitting at a piano in a store and playing boogie - woogie until a crowd had formed and then she would just walk away. She was a dreamer with her head in the stars and her nose in the latest sci-fi book.

The celebration of Lynn's life will take place on Saturday January 24, 2015 from 1-4 pm at American Legion Post 402 in Laketon, Indiana. Guests are invited to bring their favorite photos or written stories of Lynn to share. Memories will be shared between 2p-3p.
