I am married for, 48 years, to Mel Nix CCJHS '65. We have 3 children who graduated CCHS. We have 7 grandkids ranging in age from 17-3. We love spending time with them and helping with their projects.

We have lived in Union Township since 1974.

I have a BA and MA in theology from St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Terre Haute. My passion is flower gardening.

I retired from Parkview Regional Medical Center in 2014. My retirement plan was to become a Master Gardener. I completed the coursework in December 2014. I am chair of 3 community gardens, secretary of the Whitley County Master Gardener Organization and Chair of the 2018-2019 Master Gardener Garden Walk.
