Notes:

Robert Eugene Weber, son of Edward E. and Inez E. (Smith) Weber was born December 15, 1948 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was introduced to the Brethren while attending Manchester College. Appreciating the Brethren nonresistance stand, faithfulness in marriage, and other doctrinal practices he was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on September 4, 1982 to which he remained faithful. He was a member of the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Silver Lake, Indiana.

On July 11, 1987 he was united in marriage to Iris Jane Miller.

In his early working years, Robert spent six years as a German teacher in a public school. He was also a teacher in a private grade school and worked in a nursing home. For thirty-eight years, he worked as a Home Health and Hospice Nursing Assistant for Parkview Hospitals. His caring, gentle ways were much appreciated in this field. He retired in 2014.

His Parkinson's led to declining health and he was taken to Parkview Hospital at Columbia City, Indiana on Friday, February 12 and passed away quietly in his sleep February 14, 2021 at the age of 72 years and 2 months.

He is survived by his wife, Iris; three children, Sue Ann and husband David Julian, Ryan and wife Brittany Weber, and Hannah Weber and friend Denis Meletiche; four grandchildren, Jorden and Raylen Weber, Isabella and Logan Weber; three sisters-in-law, Renee and husband Lee Wallace, Rita and husband Ervin Miller, Lou Anna and husband Stephen Hufford; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, his aunts and uncles, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Norma Miller; one grandson, Clay; brother-inlaw, Rodney Miller and sister-in-law, Yolonda Miller.

He and his steadiness will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Because of his Parkinson's and dementia, many days he did not know if he was at home, but we rest assured that he does know he is at home now.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 2 - 5 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 2026 East 1200 South, Silver Lake, Indiana. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will be at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery. The Home Brethren will officiate.

For those who wish to honor the memory of Robert Eugene Weber, memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice, 1900 Carew Street, Suite 6, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805.

The family wishes to express gratitude for all the kindness shown to them with Robert's illness and passing.

The family of Robert Weber has entrusted McKee Mortuary with final arrangements. Condolences may be emailed to mckeemortuary.com
