Jane Ellen Demske, 63, of Pierceton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at 1 p.m. in her residence. Jane was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Wolf Lake to James K. and Inez L. (Boggs) Waugh. She was a 1966 graduate of Columbia City Joint High School.

She married James Mark "Jim" Demske Aug. 26 1967 in Pierceton.
Jane was a 27-year 4-H leader and a was in Golden April Home Ec Club.
She was employed by Uniroyal, worked in the Whitko/Pierceton school cafeteria for 10 years and was also a bus driver for both the Whitko and Whitley County Consolidated School corporations.

In addition, she owned and operated Jane's Embroidery Shop.

Jane is survived by her son, Mark (Lisa) Demske of Claypool; daughters Kimberley (Marcus) McBroom of Leesburg, Michele (Jason) Eavey of Lafayette and Kari (Greg) Gentry of Columbia City; brothers LeRoy (Nancy) Waugh and H. Kent "Nub" (Rita) Waugh; sister Judy (John) Johnson all of Columbia City; and brother-in-law Edward (Judy) Demske also of Columbia City; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Heather), Justin, Cody, Ashley, Jessica, Colt and Jacob and one great-grandson, Mathias. A friend Keith Ott of Albion also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband (on August 2, 2009).

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests casual attire. Pastor Larry Schmoekel will officiate the services. Interment will be in Scott-Keister Cemetery, Columbia City.
