Notes:	John Edward Pfeiffer, 76, of Columbia City, IN, passed away on September 2, 2023. Born on August 10, 1947, at the Methodist Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He spent most of his life in Whitley County, Tri-Lakes area. John had a great love for tractors, big trucks, and trains, finding relaxation in using his tractors on his property. Fishing was another passion of his, often enjoyed with his friends, son and grandson. He loved having his family over for Sunday lunch, always saying come back when you can stay longer. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the shop on Thirsty Thursdays. John is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne, his children John (Christy) Pfeiffer II and Tracey Pfeiffer, stepdaughter Elaine (Scott) Drew, stepson Travis Doty (Amy Wysong), and former wife, Shirley Pfeiffer. His siblings Bonnie Pfeiffer, Gary Pfeiffer, Barry Pfeiffer, Susie Fry (Fritz Ray) and Randy (MaryAnn) Pfeiffer. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Tanner and Samara Pfeiffer, Leah Drew, Molly (Landon) Grogg and Lilli. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers James Pfeiffer and infant brother Carl Pfeiffer. John graduated from Columbia City Joint High School and went on to have a variety of jobs, including Railway Express and Weatherhead of Columbia City. He retired from Dana Fort Wayne after dedicating many years of service. In retirement he drove truck for C&R Plating on a part time basis. In memory of John, Preferred Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was close to his heart. Services will be held Friday September 8, 2023 at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church 709 W. Business 30, Columbia City, In 46725. Visitation from 12:00 noon to 5:30 pm service following at 6:00 pm.
