Notes:	John E. Pletcher, 68, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born on September 15, 1946 in Wolf Lake, he was the son of John J. and Betty (Lehman) Pletcher. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1965. Following graduation, John served in the Indiana Air National Guard. On March 18, 1970 he married Sharon A. Smith. He had worked at Essex, Reelcraft, Columbia City High School and 80/20. John enjoyed antiquing, collecting antique toys, restoring furniture and playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sharon A. Pletcher; children, Tammy (John) St. George of Columbia City, Matthew Pletcher of Columbia City, Mark (Jennifer) Pletcher of Churubusco and Adam (Jessica) Pletcher of Columbia City; father, John J. (Donna) Pletcher of Avon Park, Fla.; sisters, Diane (James) Snider of Columbia City and Mary (Alvin) Gillespie of Fort Wayne; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Anderson; step-father, Don Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Pletcher. No visitation or funeral services with burial at Oak Grove (Compton) Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted with DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home. NOTE: Wife Sharon passed away December 5, 2020.
