Notes:	Julia A. Dittmer Gulyas, 67, a lifelong Union Township, Whitley County resident, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne where she was admitted on Sunday, August 4th. She was born February 16, 1946 in Allen County, Indiana a daughter of Reinhard F. and Velma (Scheumann) Dittmer. She attended Coesse School and graduated from Columbia City High School in 1964. On January 25, 1969 she was united in marriage to John R. Gulyas. They moved to their present home in 1975. She was employed at Mutual Security Life from 1964 to 1968, St. John Lutheran Church as secretary from 1986 to 1994, Design Guild and Habegger Furniture from 1998 until 2004. Her church membership was with St. John Lutheran Church. Surviving relatives include her husband, John; two children, Aaron J. (Cindy) Gulyas of Grand Blanc, MI and Anne M. (Greg) Wood of Valparaiso; three grandchildren; and a brother, Walter F. (Sue) Dittmer of Columbia City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Dittmer. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, 2465 West Keiser Road, Columbia City with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. The burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut Ins, Faith Lutheran Church or St. John Lutheran Church.
