Parents: John E. & Beulah C. Nichols. Siblings: Jerry A., CCJHS 1959, & William E., CCJHS 1960. Father managed Neuhauser Hatchery. Lived at 602 Park St.

Jim left Indiana in the mid 1960s & lived for many years in San Jose, California. Was a racing fan & attended many with his brothers Jerry & Bill. He & his brother Jerry started two Silicone Valley businesses. Retired in 2008, toured the US for three years with his wife, looking for next place to live & settled in Naples, Florida. Spent summers in Indiana until 2016. Died in home hospice care. Survived by wife Nelda and step-daughter Kim.
