Notes:

Shirley A. Bradley, 84, of Columbia City, IN, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at her home. Born July 29, 1936 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of James A. Rosen Sr. and Violet M. (Clark) Graves.

Shirley grew up on a farm and enjoyed playing softball. She went on to graduate from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1955. She spent most of her life in Whitley County except for 13 years in Geneva before moving to Churubusco in 2003 and to her home in Coesse in 2006. On October 5, 1985, she married James W. Bradley at Foster Park in Fort Wayne. She worked at Tokheim for over 10 years, Adams County School System and Tyson Foods for a few years. She was a member of the Columbia City Oak Grove Church Of God.

Shirley enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, cooking and baking, playing cards with her friends and continued to play softball and bowled into her 40's. She and James enjoyed traveling and spent one memorable trip traveling part of Route 66 and visiting the Grand Canyon. Any time her great-grandchildren were around, it would light up her face. Shirley was very compassionate, loving and caring.

Shirley is survived by her husband, James Bradley; daughter, Pam Listenberger; step-daughters, Cheryl Schlecty, Lisa Williams and Marie Wieble; sister, Carolyn Wilson; brother, James Rosen Jr, son-in-law, Dennis Behm; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Behm; son, Tony L. Angel; and an infant child.

A gathering of family and friends will be 11 to 1 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 at Oak Grove Church of God, 2426 S Raber Rd. Face masks are required for attendance. With limited seating, there is a private funeral service for the family with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Her service may be watched live on Facebook through DeMoney Grimes Live beginning at 1p.m. Burial will take place at Oak Grove (Compton) Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given in memory to Parkview Whitley Home Health Care and Hospice or Oak Grove Church of God. Arrangements with DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
