Notes:	HENDERSON June Adair (Jones) Henderson , age 74, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Columbus, Oh. at Riverside Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born March 11, 1935 in Batavia, Oh. to the late Marie Bennett Jones and Owen Hugh Jones. June graduated from Columbia City High School in Indiana in 1953 where she enjoyed the debate team. She went on to Hanover College in Indiana where she was a member of a national championship cheerleading squad and the Phi Mu Sorority. She graduated from there in 1957. On August 18, 1957 she married Lionel Henderson who survives along with her five children, Ann (Gary) Angles, Karen (Brian) Maxwell, Doug (Laurie) Henderson , Steve Henderson and Joellyn Henderson . Other survivors include grandchildren, Audra and Anna Maxwell, Marie and Abbie Angles, Daniel Henderson and Evan Barth. Beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill Ripple and Joyce Jones; brother-in-law, Donald "Donnie" Henderson ; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Peggy Jones Ripple and her brother Woodfin "Woody" Jones. After graduating from college as a teacher June taught Elementary education at schools in Madison, Hammond, Bloomington and Columbus, Ind. before she left teaching to be a stay at home mother. She will always be loved by her family and fondly remembered as being an avid Jeopardy fan, practical joker and the mom that was always the den mother, room mother and a second mother to so many of her children's friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009, 5:30 p.m. at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St. (3 blocks S. of Henderson Rd.), where friends may call 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to Arthritis Foundation Central Ohio Chapel, 3740 Ridge Mill Drive, Hilliard, Oh. 43026.
