Jennings, Wilbur A. “Bill” 77, went home to be with His Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Liberty Nursing Center. Absent in the body but present with the Lord. (1 Corinthian 5:3.)

He was born March 23, 1935 in Columbia City, IN to Charles and Mildred (Gay) Jennings Benner. Bill was a 1953 Columbia City High School graduate and served in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable medical discharge.

He retired from Bank One/Chase Bank after 35 years of service as an MICR Quality Control Officer. He was a member of the American Institute of Banking and gave MICR presentations nationwide. He was also a member of the American National Standards Institute of Banking for 8 years and a member of the Quarter Century Club at Chase Bank.

His life was dedicated to serving the Lord and he was a member of The Gideons International for 30 years. He served in several area Baptist churches and was currently a member of Hillside Chapel, CMA.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and 1 brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Audrey (Boltz) Jennings, his wonderful family, son Timothy A. Jennings, daughter-in-law Brenda and granddaughter, Makayla, 2 sisters Mary Beasley of Indiana, Janet (Fred) Shatzer of Arizona, brother Harry (Jan) Jennings of Arizona, and stepsister Rosalie (John) Irish of California, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and very special friends the Eric Kacho family. He will also be missed by many caring friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17 from 4-7 pm at Hillside Chapel, 3515 Shakertown Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 18 at 11:00 am at the church. Private interment services at Dayton National Cemetery. Dr. Charles Moore and Rev. James Nelson will be officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International or to the Youth Ministries at Hillside Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Nursing Center for their exceptional care.

NOTE: Veteran of Korean War in U.S. Navy, Rank SR. Lived in Seville, Ohio. Buried Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, in Section 36, Site 1375.
