MARILYN DeLAINE PULLEY, 72, of Columbia City, died at 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne where she was admitted on April 2nd. She had been in failing health for the past 10 years.

She was born February 2, 1935 in Columbia City, Indiana a daughter of Everett M. and Theressa V. (Zumbrun) Anderson. Her formative years were spent in Columbia City. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1953.

On June 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to Charles N. Pulley. They made their first home in the Coesse area moving to Fort Wayne in 1960. In 1970 they moved to their present home on a farm in Thorncreek Township.

She was employed at United Telephone, General Telephone, Scott¢s Bakery and The Post & Mail.

Her memberships include Thorncreek Bethel Church of God where she served as church treasurer and was a member of its Fidelia Circle. She was also a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church Leah Circle and the Happy Homemakers.

The surviving relatives include her husband, Charles; a daughter, Dawn Curry of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Kimberly Curry and Jonathan Tilkins; and two brothers, Dr. Garland Anderson of Fort Wayne and Richard Anderson of Kendallville.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Rev. Lannie Maloney, pastor of Thorncreek Bethel Church of God, officiating. The burial will be in Blue River Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
