Notes:	Evelyn Marie Fahl, 83, of Columbia City passed away at 1:52 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Hearth of Sycamore Village, rural Allen County, where she had resided for the past 5 years. She was born on August 20, 1933 in DeKalb County, the daughter of William Thomas and Ione (Tucker) Perry. She was raised on the Perry Farm near Butler, IN until 1941. Then she and her family moved to Coesse. In 1945 the family moved to their Elm Street home in Columbia City. Evelyn graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1951. She was a former member of Delts in Columbia City. She was married to her loving husband Max Russel Fahl on April 21, 1951 in Columbia City. Evelyn worked for a brief period at Dana Corporation, Churubusco; however, most of her lifetime was spent as a home maker and assisting on the family farm. In 1969 Evelyn and Russel purchased a mobile home park and sales called Holland Mobile Park, later known as Westhaven Estates in Warsaw. Survivors include her 4 children, Pamela McCoy and Karen (Ryan) Cook, both of Columbia City, Joseph and Max both of Fort Wayne; 9 grandchildren, Angie, Michelle and Matt Smith, Britte Stein, Monica Reed, Miranda Cook, Marissa Klemmer, Eugene and Shawna Fahl and 23 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Garnet (Stanley) Retter and Phyllis (Bill) Wood both of Columbia City. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Russel, her parents and three sisters, Lois Preston, Junelle Luther and an infant sister. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 at DeMoney-Grimes, A Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.
