Gordon W. Gregg Sr., 94, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Adams Woodcrest. He was born in Columbia City, IN, on September 29, 1928, the son of the late Henry Randall Gregg and Wanda Opal (Riddle) Gregg.

On September 27, 1969, he married Bonnie L. Kreigh, after 46 years together, she preceded him in death on May 7, 2016.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He served as Treasurer for the Adams County Coin Club and was a member of the Adams County Historical Society. Gordon was in the United States Naval Reserve and worked as a printer for the Journal Gazette for many years. He and his late wife, Bonnie enjoyed their many seasons on Sylvan Lake and various trips with Good Times Tours.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Amy (Don) Schultz of Decatur; his son, Gordon ""Wally"" (Linda) Gregg Jr. of Decatur; an extended family member, Nancy Herman Sallot of Fort Wayne; a sister, Carole (Jack) Binkley of Columbia City; 5 grandchildren, Donald, James and Jason Cummings; Christina Cornett and Dennis Gregg all of Decatur; 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James and Lewis Gregg; a grandson, Jason Cummings who passed away on June 22, 2022.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation 3 hours before the service from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Pastor James Voorman will be officiating and burial will immediately follow in the Decatur Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Adams County Coin Club.
