Anise B. Dicke, 89, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at Emeritus in Fort Wayne. Born in Columbia City, IN, Anise began her RN career at Lutheran Hospital finishing most of her 48 working years at Parkview Hospital, retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She volunteered at Matthew 25 Health Care and was Ombudsman for Elderly Care Facilities in the Fort Wayne area. Anise and husband Edward were charter members in forming the Northern Indiana Via de Christo and represented their church on the Lutheran Hospital board.

She made frequent trips to Ill. and Calif. to visit children and grandchildren, enjoyed singing, music and was an avid bridge player. Her personal thank-you goes to Linda and Mabel who were both friends and spiritual companions to the end.

Surviving are her sons, Paul (Patricia) Dicke, of Erie, Pa., Daniel (Karin) Dicke, of Camarillo, Calif.; grandchildren, Matthew (Kacy) Dicke, Robert (Catherine) Dicke, Justin Dicke, Jessica Dicke; great-granddaughter, Susan Grace Dicke; and brother, Bill (Barbara) Overdeer, of Columbia City.

Anise was preceded in death by her parents, Glen 'Tuby' and Mary Overdeer and husband, Edward Dicke.

Service is 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, with calling one hour prior. Calling is at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial is in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Memorials may be made to the Northern Indiana Via De Cristo, Gethsemane Lutheran Church or The Gideons.
