BETTY L. HENLINE, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Columbia City, she graduated from Columbia City High School in 1942, and attended Fort Wayne Gospel Temple Bible College.

She had been previously employed in the baby department of Wolf & Dessauer, taught Child Evangelism, and was manager of Fort Wayne Gospel Temple Book Shop for many years. She was a member of Westview Alliance Church, where she volunteered in the office for 10 years, and was a member of the Senior Saints.

Surviving are her children, Gary L. (Sue) Henline of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sue Ellyn (Stephen) Dannenfelser and Caryn G. Freeman, both of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Henline, in 1983; and brothers, Virgil Harman and Gerald Harman.

Service is 3 p.m. Sunday at Westview Alliance Church, 9804 Illinois Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Bob Petty officiating. Calling also from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial in Poe Cemetery, Allen County. Arrangements by Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Memorials to Westview Youth Scholarship Fund or Feed the Children. Online condolences to www.sheetsandchilds.net.
