Married June 25, 1955. Lived in Detroit, Michigan. Died at age 68 in Royal Oak, Oakland, Michigan. Buried Arborcrest Memorial Park and Chapel Mausoleum, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Name listed on marker as Barbara G. Dimitry.

DIMITRY BARBARA G. Oct. 7, 1992. Wife of Douglas. Mother of Anne and Edward Dimitry. Also survived by two sisters and one brother. Tributes may be made to American Cancer Society. Published in Detroit Free Press on Thursday, October 8, 1992.

Husband's 2005 obituary: Douglas Bisland Dimitry, age 83, of Columbus passed away Friday, April 8, 2005.

Member of St. Peters Catholic Church Worthington, U.S. Marine WWII, Pacific Theater. Mr. Dimitry was a graduate of Wayne State University Law School working as a lawyer in private practice, city of Detroit Legal Department and retiring from Wayne County Corporation Counsel.

Preceded in death by wife Barbara 1992; brothers, D. Donald and Dracos Dimitry.

Survived by sons Edward (Mary Anne) Dimitry of Hilliard; daughter Anne Dimitry (Jack Rosenberg) of Ann Arbor, MI; brother John (Audrey) Dimitry of Boston; grandchildren, Anthony and Drake, numerous loving relatives and friends, and a special thanks to the staff and residents at Claremont Retirement Village.

There will be no visitation or services in Columbus. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peters Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd., Columbus, OH.

Arrangements completed by the TIDD FUNERAL HOME with Crematory.
