In 2006 Katherine was living at Miller's Merry Manor in Columbia City. Received a pink carnation flower from the CCHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION on "ALUMNI DAY" Oct 7, 2006, & a picture was taken.

Katherine V. Kyler, age 92, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 4:04 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Grace Village, Winona Lake. Born July 31, 1917 in Richland Township, Whitley County, IN, she was the daughter of Robert Logan and Ella Leora (Payne) Cullimore.

Raised in Whitley County, she later moved to Van Wert, Ohio and Indianapolis, IN. In November 2001, she moved to Oak Pointe, Columbia Cty. She attended Redbrush Elementary School and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1935. On December 24, 1938, she married Harold W. Kyler in Columbia City. She formerly worked at Blue Bell, Inc., Columbia City, Stump's Printing, South Whitley, and Essex's Metal & Plastic Company, Columbia City. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, former member of the Order of Eastern Star and former Lady Lioness both of Larwill.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Nikki (Peter) Wolkins of Warsaw and Cindy Davis of Fort Wayne; 3 granddaughters, Teena Pence of Warsaw, Holly (Jeffrey) Washer of McCordsville and Jenna (Dustin) Dammeier of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Kierston and Kyler Pence, Mason Washer, Jacee and Braden Dammeier; 1 sister, D. Jane Hamilton of Fort Wayne. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jennie Caroline Cullimore and Marjorie E. Anders, brothers, Hugh M., Arthur, Phil R. and Robert Cullimore.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will immediately follow calling on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gene Rohrer of Oak Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Burial at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, IN.

Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Kyler to Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Please visit www.demoneygrimes.com to send family condolences or sign the guest register book.
